Happy June Everybody!
Hagbeat has had an interesting month to say the least. Some ups, some downs. One notable "down" is the departure of drum virtuoso Geoff Samphire. We wish him well in his quest for fulfillment.
Onto the more pleasing news! Tree Frog Fest '010 is upon us! June 18-20, come down to our home away from in Rocky Mountain for some of the best music you will likely hear this year. We will post a ...poster soon with bands and price and details. Suffice it to say, this is a weekend not to be missed.

Woah, sorry about that. Kind of drifted away for a month there, getting lost in the thick of it. Spring has begun and it's a big distraction, so much beauty to behold. We've started work on our next musical endeavour: recording in tunnels. So far so good. Hopefully we can get some new stuff up here soon.
Ryan and Jamey have been away for a couple weeks entertaining the fine folks on the VIA rail across Canada. We're playing a show at the dog and duck this friday, so come on down and say hi. Hag out.

It's a busy week for the Beat starting off tonight with a last minute St. Paddy's day show at the Henry. 7 pm, appease the leprechauns by drinking your faces off!!
We've got another show the following day at Dickens' Pub on 10th st and 9th ave SW. We're opening for ROBOT WORKERS, WAYFARER and 20 CENTURIES OF STONY SLEEP, don't know anything about the bands, price or time, but best guess is 5-10 $ and around 9 pm. Poster's pretty cool.
Lastly, this Saturday the 20th we're playing the Henry once again and will once again be rocking the shit. Come down 'round 9 pm for a good ol' fashion hagdown.

Thanks to all those that came out to Verns on Friday, we had an amazing show due in large part to the wicked crowd (not too mention a near perfect set by new drummer Geoff Samphire combined with James' dangerously tasty guitar licks). Next show will be a longer set, promise. In website related news, we've got some pictures and videos up in the media section, as well as a feedback/booking form on the Contact page.

Some exciting news! Had our first jam with James Dangerous last night and boy were we sounding good. James is joining us for our show tomorrow (Friday the 19th) at Verns, and he'll no doubt add an extra delicious flavour to the sound.

Still tinkering with the website, we'll have some streaming music and some pictures and stuff for you soon enough.
Our next show is next friday the 19th at VERNS (622 8 Avenue Southwest). We're playing with Igneous Audio, Rodney Guitarsplatt and the Reckless Heroes.
